The Boehm GC is also, contrary to popular belief, a very [good option](https://github.com/rbehrends/btree-alloc) for a high throughput stop-the-world GC in general. It has both been pretty heavily tuned in recent years and supports parallel mark and sweep, which also shortens pause times.
