I have had Graphic Converter for many years; its main intent is, as its name implies, for opening/converting files sent to you in strange formats when you don't have the originator. It is very good.

However, from what I gather from my local experts, GC and iPhoto have different intentions. I may be totally wrong here but iPhoto, together with other small applications such as 'iPhoto Library Manager' and 'iPhoto Buddy ?' is used for organising your photos for printing, while Graphic Converter is excellent for manipulating the photo. Colour, hue, size, cropping, all those things even if they can be done in iPhoto.

In fact GC is often referred and the 'poor man's Photoshop' and for good reason at about USD40.00.

These three applications I find work well together - iPhoto itself, iPhoto Library Manager to make up for iPhoto's deficiencies, and Graphic Converter if I feel capable enough.

On this list, do not apologise for off topic. You should apologize for interrupting the off topic conversations. This post is on topic because it mentions Nisus users OK?
(ah.. sorry everyone..)

Many thanks, Alan, for your fine kindness, but while I sometimes indulge in OT in the Darmouth list, it was inadvertently that I posted this message on the Interactive list.

I'll consider Graphic Convert. Thanks again.
