Thanks Dave,
So I can ask about LinkBack here then? (:

I have visited most of the sites, listed near the end of the Manual, where there are other applications which accept NWEx as a partner for LinkBack.

Unfortunately money would need to change hands before I could test for these but my main concern is how to put the original item into NWEx.

In answer to another question when I contacted Border, it seemed I needed only to design the border there, the 'Copy & Paste' it into NWEx. OK, sounds simple.

Then, if I needed to 'edit' the border, I double-click on it which takes me back to Border where I do what is necessary and my NWEx version is updated. At least this is how I view it.

This then leads into the question, on everyone's lips, 'where does NWEx put the item in the first place if there is no graphics layer'?

Using Border here may be a poor choice as an example, but the application which I fancy as having some use is OmniOutliner or possibly ChartSmith. Is one of these pages or charts inserted like a Table in NWEX?

If so then LinkBack really reduces the need for Nisus to provide much more than a container for these items. Then we would be cooking with gas.

Now is probably as good a time as any to explain what is and what isn't OT on this list. Nisus stuff, Macintosh stuff (Classic and OS X) and related (like iPhoto, for example) is on topic. What isn't are posts on politics, religion, shoe sizes, etc.

For example, "They should have carbonized Nisus Writer 6.5", while beating a dead horse, is acceptable, "They should have carbonized Nisus Writer 6.5 and George Bush is responsible for this and while I am at it, let's talk about Proust, the U.N., and blah, blah, blah ..." is not.

I hope that makes some sense. If not, let me know.

I finally decided to give Tiger (10.4.2) a try, and I find iPhoto.app has disappeared from the standard installation. Is now the only way to keep it to buy iPhoto 4x?

Thanks for assistance, and apologies for OT.
