Wanting to build a Asterisks box for someone, they have 5-6 analog lines coming off a Easylink T1/E1 interface box. Would it be easier to get the 1 port T1/E1/J1 card or just run off an 8 port AEX800 card. Also, would a dual core 3gb ram 500GB hard drive be sufficient for a 10 extension system? I'm new to this, but it sounds extremely feasible. What they have in right now is a Lucent/AT&T box Partner Plus R4.1 system and they want to upgrade and I think an Asterisks system will benefit them greatly...
