Gimp works pretty good under XP It is not the easiest necessarily to get started with BUT, there are lots of resources online (youtube included) and it is open source and free (and runs on linux too). But, it is quite functional. I have done some photoshop and, while not photoshop, I have managed some pretty sophisticated things with GIMP. Another *vector* based free drawing tool (along the lines, I think, of Adobe Illistrator) is Inkscape (http://inkscape.org/). GIMP, though, is raster graphics and that is what you need for photo editing. ________________________________________________________ Mark J. The problem is we have between no and very low bandwidth available. We need a downloadable open source, and simple program that will run on XP.
