The only reason I have kept Verizon is because it does seem (to me) to
have the widest coverage area (especially furthest out into rural areas
away from interstates and metro zones) COUPLED with a grandfathered
unlimited data plan. Now, it appears that is going to go away too.

Aside from better rural coverage, the data access is key to me ALONG WITH
being able to tether my other devices using wifi to the phone. My phone,
btw, is a rooted Droid 1 with stock ROM. I know AT&T is out of the
question for more or less the same reason Verizon is becoming out of the
question. I've heard Sprint has most bang for the buck but coverage areas
are more limited (especially as you wander into rural areas).

So, what's a geek to do? Do any of you use Sprint, and if so, what's your
verdict? Are there other viable options to these? I am not familiar at all
with T-Mobile's service/performance. I don't think Cricket would cover me
adequately? Is staying with Verizon the lesser of evils?

Fortunately, my contract is up this month, so I'm at a crossroad, and
wanted to know what the rest of you thought.

Thanks!

Mark
