Vanderbilt has an opening for a full-time Senior Linux Systems
Administrator. This role supports the healthcare side of Vanderbilt and

Required skills:
Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.x/6.x
VMWare vSphere/vCenter 4.x/5.x
Expert scripting abilities (bash, korn, perl, etc)
Thorough understanding of networking concepts and technologies
Exemplary system troubleshooting ability
Experience managing highly-available and clustered systems in a 24x7x365
environment
Expert ability to tune Linux/UNIX systems for performance
Expert knowledge of system-level storage management in an enterprise SAN
environment
Extensive experience with management and troubleshooting of x86 hardware
Exemplary interpersonal communication skills
Preferred skills:
F5 BIG-IP (particularly LTM and GTM)
Redhat Cluster Suite
LDAP administration
CFengine
Nagios
Backup/recovery management (Tivoli, Legato, NetBackup, Data Protector, etc)
