Other options you might look into for self-hosting are Trac and Redmine.
I've used some of these. My quick reactions:
Trello requires a different mindset than you may be used to.
I started out hating Jira (wysiwyg? ugh!), but it really grew on me. The
integration betwen Jira, Jira Agile (formerly called Greenhopper), and
Confluence is well done.
Redmine is decent but feels kind of stagnant. There was a fork called
Chiliproject that died out. Another fork, OpenProject, has made more
progress and recently had a major release. I haven't played with it yet.
