Hi all. I have some basic experience with JavaScript and have a very basic question as I'm trying to figure out how this works.
I need to know how I can take a new username and compare that to the existing usernames currently signed into my chat application. If the username already exists, I want it to notify me that the username already exists in the current chatroom. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
