You were also correct about me having an X11 prob.

Just read that some time ago NVidia announced that they would change the default
setting for AllowSHMPixmaps from true to false.

Cairo uses SHM pixmaps only, no images, so ...no fun for me.
I just added ||Option "AllowSHMPixmaps" "1" to ¤rg.conf and the
slowness is gone.

Also found out about zynn having an NTK gui...looks good.
But when i moved just one slider xorg used 92% cpu.
Now all is ok....except the NVidia driver has to do without
"some optimizations" ( nvidia site didn't specify).

Cairo should use SHM_Images...that works everywhere...
