Hi Varun
I'll talk to my dad n c how he can help us. Secondly, i think the CURE Delhi team shd meet, n it includes Sumit, n decide on how to go abt registering CURE.
Most importantly, dont feel bad dat u r not able to do anything. U r a co-founder of CURE n dat itself is a big thing! Had u not founded CURE at all, none of us wud hv been a member of an organisation working for such a noble cause!!! Anyways, its imp dat someone keeps gvng such ideas, & if these ideas cm frm a founder member, it always carries a lot of value......so just dont feel bad.
Will keep u informed....
Regards,
Vidya.

Hi Vidya, Anisha, Sumit, Vaibhav, Others
Thanks for your positive suggestions. Seems like we all have a consensus on both the points that CURE should work towards doing getting the registration done and have some supporting member fee.
Anisha, I agree to your point that everyone wont have a CC. So the idea is to create both options. Who has a CC can pay online and doesnt have to take the pains of sending in a cheque. Otherwise he can send me a check too. But for these things, we need a CURE account, for a CURE account, we need to regsiter as an NGO!
Vidya, if your dad can help, it will be great. Harsh shall contact you.
Sumit, thanks for volunteering.
It is good, that all three of you, Sumit, Vidya and Harsh are in Delhi and can form a concrete plan to move ahead on this.
Sorry, myself being in USA cant do much than speaking big words and doing no action. It is you people who are actually working, who form the real CURE.

I am also based in Delhi and would be very happy in meeting you so that we can discuss this issue and take this matter further.CURE Delhi members meet regularly, I would be happy if you also come and attend our meeting. Else if you want we can discuss the issue on phone. My mobile number is 9868409768.Harsh
sumit basu <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > wrote:Dear allA agree with Varun on both the issue, i.e registration as n.g.o and membership. I would like to volunteer for the registration part. Now, to make CURE a national n.g.o we need to show members, from at least five states. Those persons, who will be our office bearers as per the documentation, their residential proof is required.I believe apart from our noble intention and other initiative, the registration part needs to be fulfilled, to be legally on a sound platform.I can get the registration done from New Delhi, as that's where I am based, provided I have the required documents. So who so ever are going to be our office bearers their names, residential proof, and other details are required.regardsSumit Basu
Varun Aggarwal <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:Hi All
There are two things I wanted to discuss
1. CURE registration: As of today, CURE is not a registered NGO. We prepared the document required to get it registered, but it never moved ahead of that. The paper-work is with Harsh. At this stage, it is very important for CURE to get registered as a formal NGO and the only NGO solely dedicated to the cause of ragging. This shall give CURE credibility and a wider acceptance to the evil of ragging with a formal NGO devoted to its cause.
Is there anyone among the esteemed CURE members, who can take-up the role of getting CURE registered. If you have prior experience in this, you really know the game. If you are not, but want to learn how to register an NGO (it is not very hard, not very easy), then also this is a good opportunity to learn (all expenses will be paid by CURE). So please come forward, so that we can work this out.
2. For long, we have been toying with the idea of putting together a "Supporting Member" concept and charge a membership fee annually. This shall lead to generation of funds. This needs CURE to be first registered as an NGO so that it has an account on its name. Secondly, we need to put together a paying through Credit-card on our website. This thing is gonna happen somewhere in the future.
So I am looking for someone to volunteer for 1. and comments on 2.
Thanking you
