HALDIA: Three engineering students of Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) were suspended on Friday for ragging a junior, Subharthi Bhattacharya. The victim's mother, Malati, claims he was beaten with belts and kicked for three hours in the HIT hostel. Subharthi, a production engineering student, has been admitted to Bangur hospital with injuries all over his body. He lives in Jadavpur's Chittaranjan Colony.
