Thanks for bringing out a new release.
I've got one minor request. I would like a findall on one file, where are the
results are displayed in a list, like the find in all open files list.
It also would be nice if this list and the other findall lists would attach
to the bottom of the editor. So one can easily navigate the results.

notepad++ cannot correctly open a file with a relative pathname
1. open a file in a directory, say, c:\windows\test.txt
2. close the notepad++
3. in the command line, enter
c:\>notepad++
4. now the notepad++ asks if you want to create C:\WINDOWS\newfile.txt
you know i want the C:\newfile.txt to be edited

It seems that you use v3.9 or version above, and your Notepad++ crashed.
If so, update your Notepad++ to v4.0, this crash issue is fixed.

A little while ago, while searching for new text editors, I came across PSPad
(http://www.pspad.com/en/screenshot.htm). While this program has almost too
many features, it has a file explorer that displays exactly what I'm trying
to describe. It uses the tree, icons, and file structure native to Windows,
rather than trying to create something new. I much prefer Notepad++ because
it's more lightweight and manageable but it would be great if Notepad++ could
have its Explorer plugin act like PSPad's.

I have been working on a custom style for Stellent IDOC and have run into a
similar error.
I have (enough) of the keywords highlighted (still some issues with comments)
However I am also getting these strange zig-zag underlining on all javascript
(IDOC combines html and custom <$ $> or <@ @> tags)
Is there a way to control this, Ive noticed it happening in other styles (a
known 4.0 issue?)

Jens,
Hmm...If I remove them from the plugin directory, then I don't have the icons
for them and they do not open up with the keyboard shortcuts. I copied them
back in to the plugin directory, restarted N++, and now they work - especially
useful to know that you need to have focus in the text area for the keyboard
shortcuts to work. Don't know why it makes a difference to copy the files out
and then back in to make things work, but hopefully that knowledge can help
you with the bug fix.

I'm running V4.0 in Win2K, and the hex edit works fine, and the explorer is
usable.
Some minor quirks like folders not sorted by name in top pane, and folder
icons
have changed, and the file-associated icons seem scrambled (but I use the names
and
extensions mainly anyway... ), and the filter drops them to a workable list.
None of these are show-stoppers....

This happens if the Last opened file (test.txt in your example) doesnt exist
when you reopened Notepad++ for the next time (step 3 in your example) & and
you have "Remember the Current Session for next launch" Enabled in Setting.

I fix this problem more corretly.
Problem not in file`s type (htm, txt, ...). Problem at file`s name length.
When file`s name length is 63 with extention NPP open it corretly, but when
file`s name length 64 or more - it drop down with system error.

I found a missmatch in my project. I use the wrong font in dialog resource.
It will be changed in next version of explorer. I will publish it asap. It will
contain:
- bug fix on clicking favorites folder when explorer is not opened
- it will be possible to set options for:
- folder names without []
- long file information
- view size in b|kB|dynamic in x b/k/M|dynamic in x.x b/k/M
- last modified
- save sorting on close
- switch between extension direct attached on filename and seperated in an
own column
Also it will be possible with a patch of Notepad++ to see different layout when
docked
to left/right or top/bottom.
