Notepad++ is THE editor of my choice, thank you guys! Slick, fast, has
configurable
syntax highlighting, tabbed, with multi file search.
But, since you asked for it, I do have some little iwannas:
Just yesterday I upgraded my old npp++ installation with a new one and I lost
my syntax highlighting additions to "Assembler" (I guess default is i386
assembly
language, but I use npp++ to hack my 8051-derivative micro project). So, I went
like oh well and took up to half an hour to fix all the missing keywords,
register
names, etc. Now it is again easy to read. But... soon there'll be another,
better
npp++, right?
So... obviously I would like to clone syntax highliters, modify my cloned
"language
settings", save them in files that survive re-installation, that sort of
things...
Another nice thing (which is a little bit "almost there" now that I have
Explorer
pane and can launch batch files) would be if I could place and configure my
tool buttons on a toolbar and catch output - command prompt window is a bitch...
on my W95 (yeah, I know).

In my opinion it would be great to add support for SAS (perhaps even a plugin
to run jobs, etc).
I would be more than willing to help in this effort if interested. Doing so
would create a product better than the SAS enhanced editor. Please let me know
if you are interested.

It's not leftovers from 3.9 - I cleaned everything up (program files & registry)
and did a clean install, and still had the problem.

Hmm, I replied to this, but can't see the posting here...
The Print.HP1220C.Win2000 crash, varies with DLL, but it is
not purely locked to one.
If I remove all, and add, the single one that causes crash
is hexEdit.
ALL DLLs also causes crash, BUT if I have just these 3
Explorer.DLL, hexEdit.DLL FunctionList.DLL, then
ALL print pathways are OK.
Strange, seems like uninitialised variable/param garbage and as these
move around in memory, the issue comes and goes ?

Hello,
I've been using Crimson Editor for a few years now, but since development on
that as totally come to a halt, I decided to look for a new text-editor. Anyway,
I found Notepad++ and I must say I really like it, it supports all the things
CE did, and _way_ more. There's only one little problem..
CE automatically indents your code after an opening curly brace (The "{").
However,
Notepad++ doesn't do that, and I can't find an option that turns this on (the
auto-indent option kinda works, but I have to manually tab a line first). Is
this possible at all? It would really help me a lot, because I'm so used to it.
Thanks in advance,
Patriot (Tim)

I am also losing the cursor in N++ after Alt-Tab.
4.0.1 doesn't have this problem. I am reverting to it until this issue is
resolved.
BTW, I especially like the new Plug-in Toolbar in 4.0.1 !
Thanks,
-Ken

So, I just downloaded 4.02 and the explorer plugin v0.1 (?) and I can't dock
the explorer. Also, there are no explorer plugin options. In Rocky Stone's above
comment, s/he makes reference to "Plugins->Explorer->Explorer Options". I only
see Plugins->Explorer-> {view explorer} and {help}. I feel like I have the wrong
version or something. Am I an idiot?
