I agree completely, we use it where I work - but luckily no one here really
cares about stuff like that. I can definitely see the point of the previous
user, I woudln't recomend it if I was in a different setting.
Infact, I think the whole page is rather unprofessional and if I hadn't
downloaded
the program from sf.net first (and found out it's actually a great program),
I probably would have skipped it and continued using UE.

Also had this focus problem when ALT-TABing or after Find dialog with v4.0.2
on XP sp2. Installed v4.0.1 instead - focus works fine.

Go to setting/shortcut management then number 29 is ctrl+spacebar shortcut,
so you could change it.
For the exact name of menu, it could be different because I have the french
version of notepad++.

When I choose Preferences from the menu, I've got an unknown exception

on Vista.

Don,
Notepad++ v4.0 crashes with following error message:
Notepad++ : a free (GNU) source code editor has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience.

Error signature:
EventType : BEX P1 : notepad++.exe P2 : 4.0.0.0 P3 : 45bb9337

...
It will do this every time I open a file with a file name longer than 64
characters
including the file extension, but not the directory/folder.
This happens no matter where the file is located (sub directory or even in the
root of the C:\ drive)
It does not matter if I open the file through File|Open or the context menu
of the file in Windows Explorer.
I can name files with 256 character long file name including the extension (in
the root directory) and open it just fine with the Windows XP SP2 Notepad.
I hope that this helps.

Both find/replace functions can do it, with limitations. Have a read of
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/newlineFindReplace-HOWTO.php if you can't
get it to do what you want.
