I find the line space in Notepad++ too large. I searched the forum and saw
suggestion that reducing font size for "brace highlight style" can shrink the
line space. It works, but still the line space for C++ language style is larger
than for "normal text" style. Is there a way to reduce the line space for c++
language style?
  Thank you.

It's a known issue and will be fixed asap. The problem: I didn't create a
seperate
thread for updating the drives and folders ;). I will anounce the new Beta
version
when it's done.

Best Regards
Jens

Notepad++ 4.02 is opening the last opened files for me. Go to the MISC tab
on the Preferences dialog and make sure "Remember the current session for next
launch" is checked. The Preferences dialog is opened via the Settings >
Preferences
menuitem.

You can also use "Save session" and "Load Session" on the File menu. --Joel

Okay, maybe I misunderstood the question. If you want a blank screen, UNcheck
the "Remember the current session for next launch" option I mentioned above.

A partial workaround to this problem is to edit the properties of a shortcut
that launches Notepad++. Change the "Start in" directory field to say something
like "C:\Documents and Settings\ThisPC\My Documents" (change ThisPC to the
correct
user) or whatever directory is desired.

When you use that shortcut, File Open and File Save default to that directory.

"Remember the last operation directory" on the Global tab of the Preferences
dialog may need to be checked. --Joel

Yo, man, did you go to the download section and read a description of ConvertExt
1.1 plugin? I guess, you did not. So you will be surprised when you do it at
last. In addition, if you read the plugin's documentation, you will see it
supports
auto-recognition of cp866, koi8-ru and iso8859-5 for russian texts.

Some shortcuts are available on the Shortcut Mapper dialog ("Settings > Shortcut
Mapper" menuitem). It may be possible to customize it more to your liking by
editing the Notepad++ XML files, but that is recommended only for advanced
users.

Under the "Language" menu, there is a "User Defined" menuitem. I encourage
you to look for the help on the website for using this. --Joel

This is the help forum for Notepad++, a text editor. You need a different kind
of help, found elsewhere. Try a C++ help forum. --Joel
