How about making the text area within the find dialog longer? There is plenty
of real estate to the left of the label. Move it left and re-size to display
more of the text area.

Have you considered cut and paste? It'd really be annoying to me if Notepad++
decided to just insert characters in what is supposed to be an empty file...

Hello,
Does anyone know, how can I make NP++ to display the Internet Explorer's View
Source result as HTML automatically? I have integrated NP with IE View Source
for a better debugging of web pages.
Also the text I'm searching with Ctrl+F, is not remembered if I close NP.

Opening a 2 gig text file causes an error (2.07 GB (2,223,792,128 bytes)). Did
not try with other file sizes of a large nature. WinXP. npp.4.1.2.

Hi
I'm trying to set up a shortcut for TextFX > TextFX Tools > Word Count. I don't
really mind whether it appears on the context menu, or in the Shortcut Mapper
(if the latter, I'd like it be be Ctrl+Enter), but I can't work out how to do
either.
* For the context menu, I can't find Word Count listed in english.xml
* For the Shortcut Mapper, I can't work out the command that I'd have to type
into shortcuts.xml
There seems to be conflicting advice on the forums, and some say that you can't
include TextFX commands in the Shortcut Mapper anyway.
I'm a newbie AND I'm not a programmer, but I'm confident about editing these
system files, if I only knew what to put in them ;-)
Great program, BTW!

Yeah, I eventually just did that. However, I had several spaces I wanted
entered
at specific points and it got quite tiresome. I eventually did it all this
way but it would be nice to see a more exhaustive regex ability.

Is the regex search feature handled by the TextFX plug-in? I'd like to possibly
update the code to allow for a richer regex ability. I just need to know where

I highlighted several lines of text, did CTRL-F, entered the text I wanted to
search for, enabled "In selection", clicked on Count button. It returned the
total instances of the search term, that is, it counted how many there were
in the whole document, not just in the selection.
