It seems nothing happens when I press CTRL+W in Hex Mode. Only when I press
these keys a second time, will the current window close.
It seems, however, that the first time CTRL+W acts as "Save me" (CTRL+S). At
least I lost my saved contents myrically. Is this correct? Is this intended
behavior?

I may have overwritten the file outside NP++.
Anyway, it seems the first time I press CTRL+W or CTRL+S, nothing happens.
Perhaps this goes for any (CTRL) key combination.
When I pressed CTRL+W another time, I got asked if I wanted to save changes.
I canceled.
The file was then scrolled to show the previously last position on the the right
bottom of the screen. If this is intended behavior, I think it should have been
the new/current last position, which was not updated after I added some
clipboard
content.
Also still, the screen is not fully scrolled along with cursor moving to select
more than the visible part of the file.

I am the last person really who should be correcting others on their spelling
but
I couldn't resist this one. There is an amusing error in the help documentation
in the "Run External Tools" section. At the end there something I believe
should
read "Ctrl+Alt+Shift+X and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+I respectively."
Go take a look at what it really reads. I had a good laugh when I came across
it. :D

You didn't say what version you upgraded from, but the Alt-arrow searching is
still there in 4.1.2, just on the left and right arrows instead of the up and
down. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it is an appropriate change.

If you mean that the text should have HTML highlighting in Notepad++ when you
open a web page via "View Source", the problem might be that you are looking
at a page whose extension (e.g., .asp) is not registered with Notepad++ as an
HTML file.
To fix that, open the styler configurator, click on HTML in the left-hand list,
and add the extensions you want to the "User ext" field below, without periods
and separated by spaces. --Joel

I disagree. I think we should keep a few samples of it around for scientific
