Have you disabled "File Status Auto-detection" on the MISC tab of the

That's a bit strange. There's a shortcut in the Notepad++ menu off the "All
Programs" menu when you click on the Windows "Start" button. There's also an
entry in the Add/Remove Programs list in the Control Panel.
But if you didn't use the installer, all you would need to do is delete the
Notepad++ directory, I would think. --Joel

This may not be currently possible with a menu item that doesn't have a shortcut

Are you saving to a local drive with full access rights? I've heard of trouble
trying to save across a network. Also, what's keeping you from trying 4.1.2?
I ask because I'm not having any trouble saving as I go -- but I use the button
or the menu, not the shortcut key. --Joel

I don't know what you mean by "indent guide". I suspect that you have word-wrap
enabled and are selecting single long lines that you think are multiple lines.
Indenting in that case will only indent the first line of the wrapped paragraph,
and make lined-up stuff look jumbled.
If word wrap is off, then I don't know why you are seeing this. --Joel

In the latest beta of the 4.2 release, the file filter list is back to a list
of those extensions associated with the selected file types.
So: "Soon, soon." --Joel

I am not sure what you are asking. If you created a user-defined language on
one PC, it's a new file, one that doesn't exist with Notepad++ until you create
it. So it won't be on other PCs until you copy it over there.
Another possible problem is that there are two places where configuration files
go. If the Notepad++ installation directory doesn't have the "doLocalConf.xml"
file, then the configuration files can be found in the %appdata%\Notepad++\
directory. Otherwise the configuration files are found in the Notepad++
installation
directory. --Joel

You don't select the notepad++ window and right-click to move it back into view
on your single monitor. You right-click on the taskbar button and select
"Move",
then use the arrow keys.
If the taskbar button is not there, either Notepad++ is not running, or it is
minimized to the Systray. In the latter case you'll have to click on the
Systray
icon to get the button to appear in the taskbar. --Joel

Now, Bob, that's not fair. Notepad++ is a FREE program, done in the main by
a single developer on his spare time. It's open source; if you want a feature,
you can put it in yourself by downloading the source and compiling it with your
desired changes.
What you are calling a bug is not a bug to me. In fact, I prefer it the way
it is. I recognize that not everyone holds the same opinion, so it would be
nice to have a choice.
However, we can see how serious this request is. Go here:
"A fair pledge system for both dev and users"
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1793153&forum_id=331753
Start something going. If enough commit enough to warrant the effort, why,
it just might happen. --Joel

You don't really need to buy a new computer. I find that a reformatting of
the hard drive works.
No, seriously: try this first:

To put it quite simply and non-mechanical, blackheads are little bumps embedded
into the pores of our skin. They are usually yellowish or blackish in color.
Blackheads are a type of acne called an open comedone. According to medical
practitioners, blackhead
medication are the first stage of acne!!!
You can extract blackheads yourself if there is no sign of infection on
or surrounding the blemish.
