I has an instance of notepad++ running with a file from c:\temp\directory1\.

>From a command prompt, I cd'd to another directory, say c:\temp\Directory2\.
This directory contained a file "example file.Text". I tried to launch
notepad++
with 'notepad++ "Example file.txt" from this directory but kept getting the
error: "File c:\temp\directory1\example file.txt does not exist."

I then shutdown the existing instance of notepad++ and tried again and received
the same error.

Are there settings I need to set to allow me to use notepad++ from the command
line in this fashion?

Thanks.

at first, this software is awesome!!! gratz!!! splendiferous work!!!

since 2000 I had used only MAX's Beauty HTML, cuz' it's freeware (but,
unfortunately,
not opensource) and have too many options beyond a excellent algorithm for to
color more diversified elements in source, like differ INT from parameter type
from STRING - example: 1px would be [colorA]1[/colorA][colorB]px[/colorB] and
url('c:\') would be [colorA]url[/colorA]([colorC]'c:\'[/colorC])

notepad++ already have the API lists, but haven't a specific style for them

auto autocomplete popup (with show up delay customized -I ready another
auto-autocomplete feature request, but the guy suggest 2 seconds to appear,
it's too time!)

and, come on Comic Sans was really comic (may be just a joke)! I don't know
about you, folks, but my preferred style for comments is: Courier New, gray
(#808080), italic, in same code font-size (but nothing that a replace in
styler.xml
don't resolve)

and what you say me about another optional plugin that include Project Manager
in Notepad++, with project tree...

any away, gratz again! thanx for this incredible "simple text" tool

I absolutely LOVE how N++ will highlight the background behind PHP and JS, but
for other languages like CSS, the default background only appears behind text.
All other background space is the overall default color, instead of the default
background for that language.

It would be even better if all languages' background color was used. This was
you can sort of "color code" your languages, like I have no with HTML/PHP/JS

Hi

I found a bug in find in files behavior. Indeed with ctrl+shift+f now filter
is filled with the file type of current file, but directory is not filled with
the current file file path. Moreover if you right click on a directory in
explorer
plugin and make find in file the directory is empty. It could be very
interesting
that this behavior is corrected because in was a fantastic thing in notepad++.

Thanks

I am not against Comic Sans in comment, but parenthesis (){} in comment must
be in constant size (DONT INCREASE NEAR CURSOR). Because otherwise it is
difficult
to edit comment with many {((){} and easier uncoment, edit and comment again.

This feature is lying in my Toshiba hard disk :)

I implemented it before my laptop was screwed :
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4398637

I extracted the hard disk from screwed laptop in order to get my work back
(about
4 days' development!).
Unfortunately I can not find the external case (usb2) for this Toshiba MK8007GAH
(HDD1584) 1.8-INCH HARD DISK DRIVE :
http://infos.passion-partage-france.net/article.php3?id_article=56

If anyone knows where I can buy the external case or even the MCD-D50 Series
by DDK Connectors to IDE connector,
for the sake of your benefice, please let me know !!!

You won't say so if your beloved laptop is screwed ;)

You're absolutely right.
The SVN is just available (V4.2 ready) :

Yes, but you have to open every file you want to replace the text in. This
can take a very very long time.

Hm... When searching backwards, it gets confused because there's no more ">"
end-of-tag before the PHP code's "<?" opening tag; that's why it doesn't
recognize
the "<table" start.

I might have some time to look at it tomorrow; if I do, I'll try to fix it then.
Otherwise, it'll be sometime next week.

Are you sure about that? I just tested it, it works fine for me.

in file the directory is empty.

I let Jens (the author of Explorer plugin) answer this question.
