It sounds like your NPP is sized and moved out of your screen.
You can do so as previous post suggested.
Another method is to switch to NPP. You can do so by Alt-Tab to it or select
from the Task Manager.
Even though it can't be seen, press Alt-Space to bring up the System menu
(Restore,
Move, Size, Minimize, Maximize & Close), use your Up/Down arrow key to select
"Move" from the list. Depends on where your mouse cursor is on your screen
(top/right, top/left, bottom/right, bottom/left corner), use your mouse or arrow
key to move NPP gradually into the screen area.
You can also select Size from the System menu. You can use the same technique
described above to resize NPP.
This technique is applicable to all programs with the System menu enabled.

Print preview is a very useful feature, most of the common used editors have
it.
There are 5 feature requests for print preview, 4 have pririty of 5. I think,
most of the users agree with me, that it's time to increase the priority !
Thank you Don for this nice editor
I recommended it for my colleagues and they accepted N++ as their standard
editor.

Not for me. Therefore I won't do this feature.
Anyway, if someone is interested in implementing this feature, he/she is very
welcome, and it will be included in the future version.
After all, Notepad++ is an open source project. I encourage you to do your
contribution.

Thanks for the answer, Joel.
So far, I find it one of the "big missing things" in NotePad++.
If virtual spaces would be there, it would make life much more easy. Things
like selecting a block would not be blocked any more by the shortest line in
the block selection, you could go down to the next line on the same character
position, even if the next line was empty, and so on...
I think there are a tig amount of situations where virtual spaces would come
in very, very handy.
I indeed really hope it will be one of the next *big* improvements
of NotePad++.
It would make the total picture even more complete...
