hi
after installing Notepad++ (latest) , i replaced the Windows XP SP-2's notepad
with notepad++ using the instructions given on the download site of notepad++.
However now as a result the icon file for .txt file is broken , it shows up
as the icon of unknown file in Windows. I tried rebuilding the Icon Catch but
it didn't help.
I noticed the System tries to locate the icon is Shell32.dll and since it can't
find any match for Notepad++ it simply goes to default icon, i tried to direct
it to notepad++ icon but it would revert back to looking in shell32.dll (or
some name like that) and the icon appear broken.
can someone tell me how i can fix this issue? thanx

Hi Doug,
Thank you very much!
I just encounter the same problem and try to find the solution for a while.
It's really inconvenient.
