Wow, if adding the .txt extension is so hard on you, I guess you must use REALLY
short file names for all your files, because you have to type those as well...
Why bother about 4 characters more to type? There are different ways to do the
same thing. Some enhancements may be nice, but can make you lazy. And then you
start complaining if someone doesn't do what you yourself had to in the past...

"I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume the problem is something w/my
system and NOT the software"
Not very likely. I have the exact same problem.
"does anybody have suggestions on where I should start poking to figure this
thing out?"
The source?

Thanks a lot for real solution!
Uninstall Notepad++ -> delete NP++ files from Program Files & Docs & Settings
-> Start -> Run + regedit -> Find and delete all Notepad++ records -> Reboot
-> Reinstall

Hi all,
you can "empty" the tabbar by simply open a large amount of files, scroll to
the very right of the bar an close all visible tabs one by one.
Can anyone else reproduce this behaviour?
I think an autoscrollback function would solve this issue

I have also found that the file extension change makes it difficult to access
shared directories. For a start I normally have a link to the share which I
need to access in the shortcuts section which appears on the left of the Save
As/Open dialogs but that has now gone.
If I try to access the server by typing \\servername in the File Name box it
then tells me that \\servername.txt is an invalid filename.

Use the winelib to make Notepad++ native under linux is the best compromise
IMO.
If someone has the experience/tutorial, please let me know.

I don't type the file names. By the way, this is the most hostile forum I belong
to among a list of 30. I appreciate all of your (Don?) hard work and want to
thank you and all I get is hostility. Or, am I misunderstanding your post. There
are more people that appreciate it, are you mad at them to?

Hi,
I'm really not sure how possible this is, but I'd love a Firefox feature to
be put into Notepad++. In Firefox I can hit the '/' key and that takes me to
quick find where it immediately starts looking for the letters I type. There
have been many times I've just wanted to start typing like I do in Firefox and
see the results immediately.
Again, not sure if this is possible in Notepad++, and I have no clue what easy
to remember/use keyboard shortcut could be used for this. However, I think this
would be a great addition to an excellent product.
Sorry if this is not the first time this has been asked. If not, I'd appreciate
a link to that discussion instead of repeating the same thing here.
Thank you,
2C

Hi,
Good news : The "Enable Keep Alive" function work correctly.
Bad new :
1. Upload is not working anymore ... Whenever i save nothing happen. It just
save the version localy.
2. I get an "Warning, not all threads have been stopped" everytime i quit
notepad++
(Even if don't use the pluggin).
Hope this will help!
