1. Is the file in the cache of the server and is the option enabled in the
settings?
Also, what version of notepad++ do you use? You nead atleast 4.4 or you can
get the error at 2. and autosave will not work. This is because of the
new notification system.
2. See 1.. If you do use 4.4 and get the error, wait for an update, some
behaviour
has to be changed anyway.
Also, as Don pointed oput in the new thread, it mgiht be better to leave this
one alone, 110 posts and SourceForge 'forum' dont really go well together.

I'm trying to define the formatting for ABAP code (the one in the downloads
section of the site isn't very appealing) but I have one problem with comments:
in ABAP there are 2 ways of commenting, via a "*" at the start of the line or
via a double quote anywhere in the line. How can I format a comment line
starting
with "*" given that it should be treated as a comment ONLY if the "*" is the
first character? Otherwise during a formula such as "calc = a * b" the part
from the "*" onward is recognized as a comment!

I forgot to add, since Notepad 4.4 came out I changed autosave and exit
functions
to use the new messages, so the latest plugin will require atleast version 4.4
of Notepad++.

I tried to save a VBScript-File as .vbs, but it always ends up as .vb (the file
type menu says "*.vb; *.vbs). When there already is a file, let's say test.vbs,
and I try to overwrite it with a new test.vbs, np++ ask for permission to
replace
the existing file. but then saves the file as test.vb.
Does anyone else get this behaviour?

Don, nobody forced you to invest your spare time into this project, but don't
put other people down for their opinion. Maybe you can't agree with them,
because
your point of view differs in some ways, at last it in no way a reason to
misbehave
like that! To say thank you for other peoples work, is never wrong, especially
not for a long awaited feature like that. If you don't like to continue your
work on this, so be fair and let other programmers the chance to solve it.

I tried your suggestion and it works with ALT+Left click, ALT+Right click
does'nt
select anything.
About the problem of virtual spaces, the ALT+C method without any selection
will insert the typed text at the starting column of all subsequent lines, even
in lines shorter than the starting line.

Don't they have such chance? %)
I myself downloaded sources and added some features (including one lexer to
scintilla), which might nobody else here ever needed. And using WinMerge to
patch every new version with that changes. Do anyone disallows you to do the
same? %)

I tried several combinations of [.]$, []$, none of which seem to work.
Any ideas ?

Guess what? There's never anyone else to send me the patch for this feature,
there are only the whinings.
I finally do it myself. I wonder if Linux is a better world for an open source
