Click Settings > Styles Configurator...
There you can edit the colors.

Does this also happen when you start a clear, fresh Notepad++, with the option
/noplugins (or something like that)?

Perhaps it is the space in the filepath that produces the crash. If the file
itself has a space, like the "copy of ..." does, this probably is being fixed
in the passing of the filename and/or path.

Is there a way to do a find/replace all (including subfolders) dialog. It looks
like I have to physically open each page, any way around this?
thanks,

G, could you please take a little effort and read just a little below before
asking the same question?

Hi there,
Just want to report/inform that the application crash when the large file is
loaded (approx. over 150MB). I use to view the log file that is huge. MS wordpad
could suppose to load the large file; however, very slow and not efficient for
find/replace. It'll great if next release will fix this issue. By the way, this
application is awesome.
Thanks,
Patrick

I use the hex editor a lot (editing save files in game development, studying
opcodes, etc) and have noticed that it's rather slow and unresponsive. Has
anyone
else noticed this and is there any way/plans to fix it?

All I want to do is change the colors in notepad++. I tried installing the
"ruby blue" style file, downloaded from the np++ website. When I go into my
np++ directory, there is no file called "styles.xml" or "stylers.xml," but there
is a file called "stylers.model.xml" I replaced this file with the "ruby blue"
style file, and I added the ruby blue "stylers.xml" file to the notepad++
directory.
Yet all this does absolutely nothing. When I start np++, it looks exactly the
same. Does anyone know what I can do?
p.s. I'm using Vista (if that has anything to do with it).

Perhaps WinVi can be of any help.

The problem with that is this: when you make the background black, much of the
text becomes invisible. As everyone knows, a white background causes
eye-strain,
which is why a black background is better.

Never mind, I figured it out (for Vista). The 'stylers.xml' file was not in
the notepad++ directory but in this
directory:"c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\notepad++\" For some reason, you
can't see the "appdata" directory at all in the widowsVista explorer, so you
have to type it in manually. Some weird, weird, wild stuff.

I also like the places bar. Why not have an option somewhere to say whether
you want to use it or not?

"I would like it to be dynamic"
If you want it to be dynamic then I too really think you're asking too much
of a text editor. That kind of thing (dynamic wrapping) is a basic function
of a word processor. Unless you have a special reason to use Notepad++ for
this then I wouldn't even consider it.
