Hi Don,
thanks for your feedback,
I have removed all plugins
but unfortunately the unicode input bug is still present
when entering Japanese text (in my case).
I have even tested a clean install of Notepad++
using both the installer and the zip versions,
both with and without plugins, with the same results..
Thanks in advance for anything you can do to fix this!
Dario

Hi - I want to insert the filename at the beginning of each line in a file.
I wrote a marco to do this and used the TextFX Insert Current Filename. The
macro, however, only inserts the first character of the filename when executed.
I've submitted this as a bug and I am wondering if there is another way to
accomplish
what I want. (My current poor workaround is to insert the filename, cut it,
and then run a macro to paste the contents of the clipboard at the beginning
of each line.)

If i understood it right you want that the plugin is in you standard notepad
setup/installation.
if you look at the download section you find the standalone "zip" version.
the easyest way to add this plugin to the zip file to extract it, copy this
plugin to the extracted plugin dir, re-compress the complete directory.
then you can distribute it to your pc's by extracting it and creating the link.
on the other hand you have the option that notepad++ replaces the standard
windows
notepad.
if you want this you have to follow the unstructions from below:
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/download.php

Interesting! Any idea how to do this for a user-defined language?

Are you the creator of this plugin?
if you are i have a suggestion:
add the option to auto safe the file to a configured directory.
with this option you only replace the original file when you press save.
this can prevent problems when you are create a script starting from a existing
script.
For the rest i find it a wonderful plugin and wonder why you don't add it the
the npp-plugins?

There are these forums. But I don't know if there is anything about that on
it. I'm lazy, too.

There are simple file comparison programs allowing you to do so, if that is
what you are looking for.

Indeed, you're right... I was not aware this plug-in was active.
Thanks for this input.

I'm not sure this is exactly what your looking for, however, there is a 'New
Group' option on the context menu for the favorites (Right click in the
favorites
window). This will add something that acts like a folder (allows hierarchical
structure of your favorites).

Using Notepad++ v4.8.2
I just upgraded to v4.8.2 (from 4.7.x) and my favorites were not imported.
When looking in the favorites.dat I see all of my old data.
Does the explorer plugin no longer use the favorites.dat to store the favorites
information? Where is this now being stored?
