Well that's close but not quite what I need for Macros and Find.
I'm using Macros to extract hrefs from HTML
<span id="SomeID"><a href="SomeHref.html"><img more html
into
SomeHref.html
for wGET. However I usually have to search for _href="_ then kill all
the characters back to the beginning of the line, then search for the
next _"_ unless I'm really lucky and there's no other double-quotes
before the first one.
too bad. I guess I'll have to use Jasspa's MicroEmacs, it's really
slick for macro keyboard recording, unfortunately it's GUI isn't
very nice.
either that or SED to strip the hrefs quickly.

I'm using Notepad++ v4.8.2. When I press Alt+S to access the Search menu, this
odd error message appears:
> File Not Fount [sic]
> Can't locate SVN information
Does anyone know what's causing that, and if I can do anything about it?
Thanks.

In Notepad++ 4.8x you have the option to add a blank file (asNotepad.xml) which
amongst many things enables several instances (-multiInst)
If this parameter is set, you can accidentally open up the same file in another
instance thus leading potentially to conflicts.
IMHO Notepad++ should
A) Check if the file is already being edited (in Notepad++) and bring that
instance
(the one editing the file) to focus B) Continue load the file in an new instance
and warn the file is already being edited in another instance.

I'm fine with that.
Please do test it. Seems to be very stable for me (I am currently using it)
and I've done a lot of HexEditing and Browsing with it since I patched it.

Hello
I love NP++ but I have endured this bug until I just can't anymore.
I have 2 tabs opened, and in Tab1 the text exceeds a few hundred lines....around
800 let's say.
If I switch to Tab2 and then go back to Tab1, the VIEW that I left when I
changed
tabs in Tab1 will have "shifted" upwards by a few lines.
so basically every time I change tab I have to scroll down on the initial tab
I was on to get to the cursor/line mark I left off at.
VERY VERY annoying specially when you have programming files of more than 9000
lines! and it seems to be proportional! The more lines you have the more it's
going to shift up.
Please help!
