I would need a Find/Replace with non printable and special characters.
How could I for instance change ";" to a <CR><LF>?
I used to do this in MS Word 2000, but now I do nolonger have it on my PC.
Currently I only use OpenOffice.org and Notepad++.
The alternative would be amacro in OpenOffice.org, but it goes beyond the
"Line-by-Line" sequence and can only be processed when processing two or more
lines at the same time, which makes it more difficult than intended.
Has anyone perhaps already written such a tool?

I would also love this feature,
When editing code, I could really use a multi line search/replace, where cr/lf
is part of the search/replace criteria.

Hi, first of all thank you very much for Notepad++.
I'd like to report this strange behaviour i'm experiencing with the find
function.
Please download this file, http://www.sendmefile.com/00621274
open it in notepad++ and do the following: (with WORD WRAP TURNED OFF) find
april, repeat find and the view will scroll right to show the next occurence
of the word. Find again and when the occurence on the next line is found, the
editor view won't scroll enough to display the found word. Can you confirm this
behaviour and, could it be fixed?

End to next line: Seems like a bug to me, if I disable View end of line, the
behaviour doesnt occur (and it doesnt occur on wrapped lines either). Sounds
like its in the same alley as the "column mode or block select bug reported
earlier", Scintilla selecting the CR-LF characters aswell, thus moving the
cursor
past them and on the next line.
Also, if I use SCI_LINEENDWRAP and SCI_VCHOMEWRAP, the behaviour from 4.0 is
back, so maybe default back to that (Don?).
As for the system slowdown: I suspect it was the dockingmanager, but I cant
say for sure (the Acrobat Reader annoyance thing).
As for the history: 4.8 made a small change in the Session parser, so it doesnt
handle the old type very well (not at all). Not sure how this applies to your
setup as it seems to read it when you only replace the binary? Maybe the file
got updated without your notice?
