When the Document Monitor is triggered, it will enable "Update Silently" option
and "Scroll to end line" option by default (you can change these options by
modifying docMonitor.ini). However, if DocMonitor is stopped, the enabled
options
are still enabled. I have no solution (simple) yet.

1. Use another tool for that, like Free Text Block Replace or Text Crawler.
Notepad++ is an editor, not a file-based utility.

2. Read the forums about this. Hold down the Alt key when selecting and you'll
get column selection.

Do you see any chance to read messages about it that are already on the forums?

This doesn't seem to make any difference. Anyway, the thing is I can't find
any message by applying "middle+position" as search term, although you will
find them in the messages in the thread mentioned above. How come?

Hi,
is it possible to view sourcecode like the compiler do?
So, I define a few #defines and the code, which isn't used, will be hidden.

For example:

#define DEBUG
...
#ifdef DEBUG
  //Do someting
#else if
  // This line should be hidden
#endif
...
...
#define SOMETHINGELSE
  // These lines should be hidden because the define isn't set
#else
  // These lines should be shown
#endif

Thanks
Thomas

No, that only works for the non-indented text. I made that green on white, just
like plain comments. But the indented text is yellow on red.

Wait, I'll post a screenshot... Not sure if it'll survive the antispam measures
on this forum. But I can try.

I'm not familiar with Perl, but I just could reproduce your problem.

Perhaps this is some built-in type of syntax highlighting for lines starting
with a space character.

When you indent your code by tab characters, you won't have this problem.

Just another second of research made me found out you can change the style
colors.

Menu_____ : Settings
Option___ : Styler Configurator...

Language_ : Global Styles
Style____ : Find Mark Style

Now you can select the desired foreground and background color.

I don't know why these lines are "marked" _automatically_ in Perl.
This can't be undone by CTRL+SHIFT+M, so it seems this has some other cause.

Hi all,

I just discovered Notepad++ and am ecstatic about all of the features over
standard Notepad. However, I'm having a slight problem.

When I assigned all of the file associations needed, all of my icons turned
blank to a "generic" document (non-exe) icon. I've confirmed that all of
the files ARE associated with Notepad++ but there's just no icon.

Are there any icons whatsoever with Notepad++ and if so, are there ones that
have the corresponding file extension "e.g. - An icon that says TXT on it
for text files).

I don't know if I'm making any sense, but I hope someone can answer my
questions L

Thanks for everything

Sev
