Its a settings in the TextFX plugin, which was accidentally enabled in one of
the releases. A new install over the current one should fix the problem by
rewriting
the TextFX settings. Or jsut delete the settings if you can find them (in the
plugins folder afaik)

Ah... I played around for a few seconds with the options, and didn't fix it.
But since I had intended to upgrade anyway, I did, and that fixed it. Thanks
anonymous fellows.

Some menu items seem to disappear from the File menu randomly. Example:

Could you be a bit more specific? My file menu looks exactly like that one,
and I miss nothing.
If you are referring to the Recent file list, those options only appear if the
list isnt actually empty.

Hi,
Please include an option to remember the previous Find content, so when you
open notepad with a document and you press F3, it will automatically search
for the last Find contents.

There are at least three items that I would expect in the File menu, according
to the latest English.xml file (and I've already seen them appear in the menu,
but next time they don't show up):
<Item id = "41015" name = "Save a Copy As..."/>
<Item id = "41016" name = "Delete from Disk"/>
<Item id = "41017" name = "Rename..."/>
But sometimes they aren't there. Maybe this isn't a bug, and they are hidden
on purpose, but I don't think so.

I have recently run into this plugin:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1959856&forum_id=482781 and
I love it! (html insert). Only problem is I would like to be able to configure
my custom tag inserts to different icons that I create and put on the toolbar.
So when click on that icon the html tag pair inserts. Don, is this possible.
If so, how do I do this?
Thanks - Love Notepad++

Looking good. Please work on threading in the next version. Still find it a
slow (ie. non-responsive) opening text files of 65MB or so. Also the comment
on the smart tag highlight only working in the "visible" area on the screen
is an excellent idea (the way it should work). Would be nice to see that
implemented
rather than disabling the feature if a file larger than 1.5MB is loaded. Of
course when a user scrolls up/down, the smart highlighting on the visible screen
would update.
Thanks for a great update! N++ gets better with each release!

Dear fellow Notepad++ users,
May I introduce to you a new plugin for Notepad++, and this time round it falls
under a new category compared to the other plugins: Games!
Falling Bricks is a simple tetris game playable right from inside Notepad++!
For more information and downloads:
Webpage: http://peepor.net/loonchew/index.php?p=fallingbricks
Download plugin: http://peepor.net/loonchew/download.php?f=fallingbricks_v1.0
Download source code:
http://peepor.net/loonchew/download.php?f=fallingbricks_v1.0_src
Enjoy! :-)
Regards,
LoonyChewy.

It's a feature I have found only in UltraEdit so far, at least in such an
accessible
form:
When selecting a block of text you can actually select the "cursor" between
the characters and thus write on multiple lines at once instead of replacing
text. I know that the same thing can be achieved with the column editor but
it would be FAR easier if you could select "0 characters" by using alt...

Tiny suggestion found here:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5064545
It might actually be THE feature that will make me stop using UltraEdit for
good. =)

You can select a zero width column block, if that's what you mean. It's
discussed
at http://notepad-plus.wiki.sourceforge.net/FAQ .

The TextFX Tools plugin can do sorting, but of course they must be column
aligned.
