this 'open' problem also seems to be affecting the new 'rename' function. it
looks like if you have 1 file already open (FileA.txt) and then create a new
file, save it as 'FileB.txt' BUT in a different location to FileA. If you now
try to rename FileA it renames the file but moves it to the same folder
as FileB.

Reproduce steps:
1. edit a file named "something"
2. outside notepad++ rename the file into "something.txt"
3. still outside notepad++ create a directory named "something"
4. return to notepad++
5. notice the 3 error dialogs showing the same thing

I am sure this is the right place to ask for help on errors. But, I am getting
this "an unhandled exception occurred in notepad++.exe [2524]" error lately
with version 4.9. I just downloaded version 5.0. I still get the same error.
I have Visual Studio 2008 installed on my machine along with dot net 3.5.
Anybody know how to resolve this issue?

Hi.
I've added my own Syntax Highlighting called 'ESP' and I just added the
'ESP.xml'
in the APIs directory do have a parameter list.
Yes - the Auto Completion works fine, but none of my parameters are shown :(
Here I uploaded the XML - maybe you can help me :)

What I'm supposed to enter for "Sort lines case sensitive (at column)" context
menu? I tried <Item PluginEntryName="TextFX" pluginCommandItemName="Sort lines
case sensitive (at column)"/> and <Item PluginEntryName="TextFX Tools"

work.

please remove the es. part in all functions, calltips do not work with anything
other than az09_ . Calltips have no support for namespaces

try adding tghe first letter of the submenu directly followen by a colon, (like
E:Sort..., probsably not E). TextFX renames its menu functions after
initialisation
and notepad++ might not notice

Although it seems v5.0 won't write her file history to config.xml, that very

I was getting an error when I opened the program and had to close. I don't know
if maybe my antivirus deleted something.
So I tried to install notepad again, now when I try and open the program I don't
get the error, just the error sound, and program won't even open at all.
