OTOH, Neil says he thinks if apps need better regex, they have to add it
themselves.
The problem is that N++ relies heavily on Scintilla S&R, so it takes a lot of
work to change it (or manually change Scintilla, but thats not easy either).
In short, I dont think it will be addressed shortly, maybe something for the
long run or someone submits a good patch for it..

It uses the Notepad++ executable icon, which imo suits the need. You can also
download my dynamic icon (you have to change the registry manually but chances
are that it actually may start working again), its at harrysnppstuff.webs.com
(though maybe later it could be included with N++)

Hi
does somebody try to make PL/SQL as User Defined Language (may be based on the
standard SQL languge definition)?
My problem is that I can not force NPP to fold if -- end if / if -- else(elsif)
-- end if construction via User Defined Language menu.
Any ideas?
Regards

Weird.
CTRL + ENTER is not working at all anymore.
But other combo's for the functionality works fine.

Whenever I create batch files with Notepad++, extra characters are added at
the beginning of the text. so if a line reads
rem THIS IS A REMARK
when the batch files runs there are 3 or four foreign characters in front of
the rem so I get the error "...is not recognized as an internal or external
command..."

its a BOM, you need to save the document in ANSI format and not in any of the
Unicode encodings. Batch is old :)

There were instructions for XP users on how to replace the Notepad (Window's
version) with Notepad++. Has anyone created instructions on how to do the same
in Vista? If so, can they be posted on the web site or offered via e-mail to
those who request a copy? Thanks... Dean
