Two bugs I've run into in this release candidate:
1. The 3 edit/copy current... menu commands are truncating the last character
from the copied item, e.g. c:\foo\bar\foobar.java becomes c:\foo\bar\foobar.jav.
2. When opening Notepad++ from the command line it appears to set it's current
working directory to the notepad++ install location and so the command notepad++
foobar.txt isn't looking in the current working directory to find the file but
instead it's trying to find it in the Notepad++ install location. I read some
forum item that said this had been fixed in version 4.9 but I'm witnessing this
behavior in this release candidate.

I've used Notepad++ on my XP computer for awhile and recently upgraded to Vista.
I'm looking for steps to replace the Windows Vista version of Notepad with
Notepad++.
Has anyone done this and if so, can you share the steps you took? Many thanks
for anyone' assistance in this. Dean

It would be nice if I could specify more than one "boundry" type in a user
defined
language. I am working in a language that uses |TEXT|, (TEXT), {TEXT} and
[TEXT],
all of which have different meanings. Being able to color them separately would
be nice.
Thanks for writing this awesome app!

Same here.
Also annoying when using Total Commander.
When I do SHIFT+F4 and put some name to create new file, the file is created
in current directory and notepad++ automatically invokes but it can't find the
file.
Shows message instead:
---------------------------
Create new file
C:\...\test.txt doesn't exist. Create it?

Hi
Is there a way, when in column select mode (CSM), to stop the highlighted area
confining itself to the end of line?
Let me explain myself:
If I have some lines that are 10 characters long & select them with CSM, it's
fine, but if the line below is only 9 characters long & I include that in the
selection, the last character in the above lines is outside the highlighted
area.
Hope you can help & I've been clear enough.
Cheers
Dave F.

If you've used google chrome's find, you'll notice how it marks search term
match locations within the document relative to the location of the scrollbar
(much in the same way as winmerge displays differences in files, but in this
case it is located directly on the bar).
Please let me know if this feature is worth implementing.

Other than adding an extra blank space to the last line, I couldn't find any
other solution
Good luck!

How can I put all my tabs in the sidebar but read horizontally? Right now,
setting
them to "vertical" puts them on the sidebar but they also read vertically,
making
them hard to read.

Thank you for the product, I've just installed based on a friend's suggestion.
I do have an issue that I would be interested in hearing an answer to, if
possible.
I've searched through the old postings and have found others with the same issue
from 2005 up through to 2008. I was not able to find a response to the concern
so was hoping that I'd just missed it and that the fellow from 2005 isn't still
waiting.
**************
I would like to place spaces within Folder Close Keywords when specifying a
user defined language. If Notepad++ can't do that; it would be good to know
that.
**************
The thread I found was here:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3265210
But it has not been answered yet.
I'm really looking forward to being able to try out your editor on my user
defined
language!
Richard
