Hi Don.
I have 5.0.3 version. I found some problem in column copy paste mode.
Create new file with following text.
AAA PPP
BBB QQQ
CCC RRR
LLL_
MMM_
NNN_
Q
now copy block of PPPQQQRRR.
and paste after LLL_.
you will see the blank spaces added after last Q.
Though this is not major bug, I found problem a different problem that it adds
a single space some times below pasted column if Q line (8th line) have more
characters.
To share funny incident about this problem was I copied 2 blocks above
?Reinforcement? word and it become ?Rein for cement? ?
I am not able to reproduce this problem but I think it could get solved by above
one.

I've cloned a file to another view - but now I want to go back to a single view.
How do I turn off multi-view?
I'm using version 5.0.3 of Notepad++.

I've searched the most recent 1200 (or so) posts and haven't found a similar
problem to mine:
When I open N++ (or take it out of focus), a small grey "window" appears on
the page. It has an X in the top right corner. If I click the X, it closes
the "window" and the layout of the program window changes. I can restore the
layout to its original if I close the new greyed out sections... however it's
kind of annoying. It can also lead to Notepad++ crashing.
I also saw this problem before v5.1 was released.
This is hard to explain through words. So here are the web addresses to my

The Ruby language "STRING Q" syntax recognition seems to have broken between
5.01 and 5.1.
It is no longer recognizing %Q{foo}
however it does recognize %q{foo}
also even in the 5.0.1 version, the short hand syntax where a capital Q could
be left out, as in %{foo} is not recognized. I grant you that this is a bizarre
form, which must be difficult to parse, and is just about impossible to find
documented (when I tried to google for it), but I have been editing files using
this syntax, and would love to get the syntax highlighting working for it.
