Hi,
first i wanted to say that I'm a big fan of NP++ and been using it for over
year now. My problem thou is lately i started to edit unreal script files with
NP++ (userdefinelang.xml from NP++ page) and there is a small problem with that.
Whenever there is a ' sign it is interpreted as a delimiter sign even if it's
in a comment. Syntax highlight is mixed up by this problem. Is there a way to
fix in the "User define dialog" or is it a NP++ bug?
Thanks.

Hi,
I like to use notpad++ for records.
And it is non convenient mandatory "save file to disc" operation. To keep
records
in safe.
How about add next optional functionality (or if this already exist how to
enable
it?) :
Any new document will automatically stored to some directory for example
"My document/notpad++/temp".
Any time user can close notepad++ with no questions (to save new documents)
Any time start notepad++ and restore previous session, include temporary
documents.
User can change document location any time by "save file to disc".
This concept little bit different from traditional but it should be more
convenient.
Thanks

Hello,
I've been using Notepad++ since long time. The most attractive for me back then
was that I was able to edit PHP files in Arabic/Hebrew/English without
installing
any other software, it was simply by changing the style configuration to some
Font that allows me to read/write the desired language. Each time I work on
different project I change the style back to the desired one.
The last version I was able to write (in addition to reading) non-english
language
in ANSI mode was 4.7.3. I used it all the time. I installed new computer,
downloaded
the latest notepad++ and discovered that it doesn't work anymore. It just reads,
but doesn't write. I needed to install the old version in order to write
non-english
language in ANSI mode.
I surely can write non-english language using UTF-8, but that's not what I'm
looking for.
What is very weird, that the new notepad is able to open and read (displays
correctly) files that contain non-english characters easily but I can't
append/write
to the file. It starts displaying question marks.
Is the ANSI non-english going to be fixed again in the new versions, or I shall
stick with the old version only?
Please let me know if I can do anything about it.
Many thanks in advance,
Yousef.

I agree,
I have a 10MB text test file
try akelpad
http://akelpad.sourceforge.net/en/download.php
or
editpad lite
http://majorgeeks.com/EditPad_Lite_d5483.html
I like notepad++'s highlighting system & default line numbering.

Ok, i solved the problem defining the UDL manually, but i have to admit that
the syntax coloring mechanics i kind of buggy when it comes to applying the
user defined rules to files opened while you are editing the UDL scheme :).
And i noticed a strange behavior when opening the color chooser form. When I
closed it without choosing color, the upper part of the interface became lit
grey.

Yeah it was a problem with the NOD32 database file 3689. 3690 fixed it. False
positive from 3689.
