Hey guys,
I love npp and use 'find in files' a lot when I'm coding to get around big
programs.
But recently npp has been crashing more and more when i try and use this
feature.
Anyone else with this problem?
Cheers!

No,
Never used that tool before.
However, I put in the letter t and asked it to Find In all Files in C:\Program
Files which caused it to freeze...
Are you searching in a very large folder or have a lot of large files?

ClearType isn't very compatible with many applications...
Microsoft doesn't really pay much attention to ClearType these days....

Not more than a few thousand files... but even in a subdirectory with only a
few hundred files the same happens. I've tried a few different versions of
notepad++
but to no avail.
It may look like it's locked up if it's doing a large search; on mine it
certainly
freezes while it's doing the search, but i think when it encounters what it's
looking for that's when it crashes.
It's such a great tool I wish it worked! Like an integrated grep.

Technically, there is no support from both applications and Microsoft for beta
applications....
Should be a bug in Windows 7.
Microsoft won't care...

Hi all,
I think I have a picture now of what this plugin is all about. First I thought
it provides the same functionality like Smart Intender
(http://www.oaltd.co.uk/Indenter/IndentPage.asp) which would be cool.
Anyway, thanks for all the replies on this. Very appreciated.
Have a nice day!

Hi there!
First of all: Super sweet Editor. Had a lot of fun with it.
So, what i would need is this:
I have an XML and I have <AXAction>-Nodes in it.
In those nodes there is code (vbs). Looks like this:
<root>
<nodeX />
<nodeY>
<AXAction>
Public Function XYZ()
'do stuff
XYZ = True
End Function
</AXAction>
</root>
this is verry similar to the <script>-node thing in HTML.
I would need the XML-part to be recognized as XML and the Code inside <AXAction>
to be recognized as Code, with all the highlighting that comes with it.
Works in HTML so I thought I could create a User Defined Language or so. But
I didn't find a way to do so, with the User Define Language-Dialog.
Hope some one can help!
Thanks anyway :)

Hi,
I would like to add some custom commands to the tcl.xml to enable function
parameter
hints.
It works fine if I set the startFunc as something like ( or [ in the tcl.xml
file.
A snippet from the file.
..
<Environment ignoreCase="no" startFunc="(" stopFunc="" paramSeparator="
" terminal=";" />
..
Is it possible to use space(" ") instead for startFunc? Is there any other way
to achive it, that is I would like to have the function parameter hints
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Siva
