I love the Smart Highlighting feature, but I would like to be able to configure
the colors of the main selection and the resulting smart selections separately.
As far as I can tell, the smart selection color is automatically set to a
slightly
lighter shade of the main selection color (which can be configured). I am
partially
color blind and can hardly see the difference between these two shades, so it
would be a great help if this setting was configurable by the end user.

If the document was started as a _new_ document, whether is has been _modified_
or not, and is currently _empty_, then, I guess, no-one would object to not
be bothered by the question to save this document. After all, this would only
create a new, empty file.
However, whenever a document, opened from a file, is modified and currently
empty, that should be no reason to _not_ ask the user if he wants to save the
_changed_ file. I clear log files, now and then, resulting in an empty file,
just to get a clear start again.

Yes. That is exactly what they are, just in an external dll instead of the
primary Scintilla sciliexer.dll.

If you excerpt all the required lexing logic and style id values from the
languages
you want to nest, then using the nesting logic used in the external PowerShell
lexer could very well work. LexHTML is something you'll surely want to read
before trying to use the PowerShell nesting.
You may also want to take a look at how some other Scintilla based projects
implement language nesting. Like Komodo's source for the udl implementation.

Yes the crash still happens with the standalone version.
Also it makes no difference whether I use unicode or ansi, still the same
result.
