Hello so I went to the download link on the notepad++ page. I then got confused
on which files I should download to install this software. Also will this
software
cause problems because lots of the documents used for gaming/software use
notepad.

Hey Don and plugin developers;
I was just curious if anyone had come up with a naming convention for
inter-plugin
msgs? I know that it is completely up to the individual plugin yet I thought
I'd ask anyhow.
I was thinking NPPP_MSG_ prefix... any opinions?

Actually, if you want a CMS, I'd recommend Joomla!
http://www.joomla.org.
I've done many sites with Joomla, the most recent one for a non-profit
organization
at:

Using Joomla!
Or, you can use:
Drupal (I think it's http://www.drupal.org)

Normally, people download the .exe installer at:
https://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=95717&use_mirror=intern
ap&filename=npp.5.2.Installer.exe&a=48209491
Notepad++ opens anything that Notepad does usually, no problem.
Actually, Notepad++ won't replace Notepad unless you want it to, if you do,
follow the instructions at notepad-plus.sf.net and click on Download, scroll
down, and there should be a Notepad Replacement Section.

MY two little wishes for Notepad++
1) Icons on menus. Eye catchy and easier to locate what you are looking.
2) Spell checker like on PSPad (Word style) where words get underlined.

After taking a closer look at the N++ msg setup and noting that N++ is using
WM_USER message blocks up to and including WM_USER+8000 it may be worthwhile
to go with a message base of NPPP_MSG = ( NPPMSG + 10000 ) and then individual
plugins could use blocks like ( NPPP_MSG + 100 ).
If there is a reason to not go this route please let me know.
