I found a mistake, It happens like that :
- use __compare plugin 1.5.2__ Unicode (Alt-D shortcut)
- clear compare results
- and then try to bookmark (Ctrl-F2 or mouse click)
As a consequence, no bookmark symbol, just the line appears in a "gray" font
color.

So, why don't you add this file to last build.
I have only taken a look to the french.xml file in localization folder.
I didn't know the existence of this french.xml file, sorry.
What is the way to access this file from the web ?

Seconded, because moving the cursor at first may help but doing this afterwards
requires annoying additional steps. Often you only notice that you should have
moved the cursor when you don't find the last searchword (the one you would
expect) in your searchbox.
This should be either an option in the searchbox (but if so, one that's
remembered
between restarts) or a global option (the better solution in my opinon).

look at "settings" -> "Shortcut manager" (something like that, I use french
version)
"scintilla" tab, at the line "SCI_LINEDELETE"

Thanks for the tip on the "new", empty .ini file. This fixed one problem.
However,
I still don't have any file or folder name showing, except for the initial,

Don, could you consider adding smart highlighting color configuration to the
"to do"-list for the next version? I'd like to use this feature, but my partial
color blindness makes it hard to distinguish the shade of the automatically
generated secondary color.

I need step by step documentation to help a novice (like me) understand how
to use Notepad ++ to find like phrases (product names) on several websites and
replace them with new phrases (new product names). Ideally, the documenation
would include instructions on downloading Notepad ++
Does such a thing exist? If so could someone help me find it?
