Agreed on the shared-join-table case: the #10811 rule drops rows silently on Hibernate 7, and the native generator on the 9.x branches already treats it as a defect and keeps the key always updatable. Opened a follow-up issue for 8.0.x with your probe and the unique-key caveat (the classic binder's unique key covers only the first collection's key column); the fix will land as a separate PR so this one stays the per-collection join table fix. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
