A Groovy enum, a trait helper and a class with members Spring injects were asked only whether they load, which a class does without what its method bodies name, so one compiled against an optional integration the application lacks was registered and would fail the image build. Every class the scan read is now asked both, and the spec covers each of those paths and a class whose file is found but which does not load.
