@jamesfredley, review 5651210439 is addressed in da16a91754, still a single commit on 9.0.x. - **Failed first write:** the start lock is released only while it is still valid, so `open()` returns a stopped capture instead of throwing `ClosedChannelException`. A capture file that stops while it starts is no longer registered as open, so the next capture of the same path tries the file again instead of joining the stopped one. Details are on the thread. `:grails-datamapping-core:check` passes locally. The `/dev/full` features run only on Linux, so I also ran `QueryTailCaptureSpec` in a Linux container, where it passes. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
