Follow-up is `bac0c0ae16`. A leading parenthesized group followed by a top-level union, intersect, or except is analyzed from the first branch. The scan lives in `HqlText`, and `HqlQueryContext` delegates to it. The HQL sent to Hibernate is unchanged. `--` is left as arithmetic. Hibernate accepts `b.pages--1`, and treating it as a line comment made the projection look like the entity.
