Well the ipv4 workaround can be a doc highlighting I guess.

About dropping the plugins, the idea was to measure the cost of the 
pluggability vs the cost of the earger loading. If on 1s, 800ms are taken 
without any plugging there is a big issue. If plugins take 800ms then they can 
be lazily loaded using a lookup convention and it would already help IMHO.
