@matthiasblaesing Sorry, I made some edits to my profiling results comment.
Looking at what happens on startup, there are not actually many duplicates
being loaded. What would save time is (1) avoid speculative use of
ClassLoader.getResource and (2) switching from SVG icons to pre-rendered PNG
icons at double resolution.
