   ### Apache NetBeans version

   Apache NetBeans 30

   ### What happened

I downloaded and installed NetBeans successfully and had been using it for a
few days. I closed it after getting frustrated with trying to make a JavaFX
project and stepped away to cool my frustration. When I came back to get back
at it, the program wouldn't start again. Every single time, it finishes loading
the modules and then hangs, as shown below.

   <img width="474" height="296" alt="Image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/bd2f32fb-e2cd-4060-9d12-71f1615e02af";
 />

I let it sit for a good five minutes, just to see if something would happen,
and nothing did. And every time I tried to just close the window, it actually
continued to hang out in the background processes. In order to get it to close
completely, I had to end the task.

I tried clearing the cache; that didn't work.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program; that didn't work. I
even did that a few times, hoping that it would work at some point. I even
triple checked to make sure that the NetBeans folder was deleted from the
/AppData/Local/ folder. That didn't help any.

I tried installing in a different location, and that didn't help.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Java. That didn't fix it.

I reinstalled Oracle's JDK, that did nothing. I saw a suggestion on a post
from Stack Overflow to manually point the program to the location of the JDK,
and tried to set it manually to both the native JDK and Oracle JDK. I also
tried to point to the path to Eclipse Adoptium.

I tried restarting my computer again after one of the reinstalls, and that
didn't help.

I closed absolutely all non-essential programs, and that changed nothing.

I tried both the 64bit and 32bit loaders directly from the bin; that didn't
work.

I feel almost like I'm missing something obvious, but it is _completely_
eluding me. I have done all that I can think of at this point, short of tossing
my computer out the window.

   ### Language / Project Type / NetBeans Component

   None

   ### How to reproduce

I honestly don't even know what I did to break it to begin with.

   ### Did this work correctly in an earlier version?

   Apache NetBeans 30

   ### Operating System

Windows 11 Pro 64-bit; Version 25H2, OS build 26200.8655; Windows Feature
Experience Pack 1000.26100.315.0

   ### JDK

Oracle JDK 26.0.1, installed with the .exe from the download page; Eclipse
Adoptium 25.0.1.8-hotspot; native JDK

   ### Apache NetBeans packaging

   Community provided installer

   ### Anything else

   My computer specs are:

MSI NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 3X 8G (OC) LHR
   11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11600K @ 3.90GHz
   64 GB of 3200 DDR4-2400 RAM (I can't remember clock speeds)
   MSI Intel BIOS Version 2.B2

   Java version is 8u491.

The program was initially installed on a SATA HDD Toshiba HDRW440 drive; the
last reinstall put it on an Intel NVMe.
