Because it's based off the MySQL dialect it's converting: ```sql SELECT CAST(DATE_TRUNC('day', col) AS TIMESTAMP) ``` Into: ```sql SELECT TIMESTAMP(DATE(col)) ``` Which is invalid since `TIMESTAMP()` is not a Pinot function.
