Looks like `pre-commit` needs to be run to make it mergeable, too. In general, this POC is looking GREAT. If we can get CI to pass, and address those comments (mine and Copilot's) I think we can test this on an ephemeral, and hopefully merge it if it looks/acts as good as it sounds!
