   **Before/after — the fix as users see it** (version-history panel, chart on 
the verification stack; posted on behalf of @mikebridge).
   
   **Before** — a save where the user touched *nothing*: four phantom "Cleared" 
entries from the stash removing invisible controls' values (this is immutable 
pre-fix history on the verification chart):

   **After** (`1a29be30ef`) — the same tick-tock cycle driven again post-fix:
