bq. is the changes/release notes better off pointing at those in our dist

That might be a good question for [~abayer]. My hunch is the website though,
especially since the markdown would be rendered (for better or worse haha).
bq. drafting it made me realize how unusable the current release details on teh
site are. :/
I think one of the big benefits of this first release is that the next one will
be a lot easier. :D
